GET/v1/apple-music/search1 credit

Searches Apple Music (US storefront) and returns its result sections: top results, artists, albums, songs, playlists, radio episodes, stations, music videos, video extras and categories, up to 20 items each; or one section when `type` is given.

Common to every endpoint

Any route can answer these: a missing or wrong key, no credits left, the platform not answering, or a failure on our side. None of them costs credits.

04Notes

Without `type` (or with `all`) the answer is `query`, `type` and `sections` (`id`, `title`, `items`, in the page's order). With a `type` it is `query`, `type`, `results` (that section's items) and `section` (the section itself, or null when the page has none: an empty list for 0 credits). Items share one shape: `id`, `kind`, `title`, `subtitle`, `album`, `url`, `artwork` (1200×1200 URL, size, colours), `duration_ms`, `track_number`, `disc_number`, `artist_name`, `explicit`, `preview_url`, `track_count`; a value the page does not give is null. There is no paging. A search with no section returns 200 with an empty list for 0 credits; an unknown `type` is a free 400.

05Errors & credits

Every error has success: false, a real HTTP status and costs no credits.

400missing_parameter
A required parameter is missing or invalid.
403private_account
The account is private or age-restricted.
404not_found
No such account.
503upstream_error
The platform did not answer; retry shortly.
