Video Transcript

GET/v1/youtube/video/transcript1 credit

Returns a video's transcript from its caption track: timed segments, the full text as one string, the track's language and the list of available caption tracks.

01Query parameters

02Pricing

1 credit when a transcript is returned; 0 credits when the video has no caption track in the requested language.

Common to every endpoint

Any route can answer these: a missing or wrong key, no credits left, the platform not answering, or a failure on our side. None of them costs credits.

05Notes

If the video has no caption track in the requested language, the call returns 200 with `transcript` and `language` null and still lists `captionTracks`, so you can pick another language. `startMs` and `endMs` are strings, and `language` is the track's name (e.g. `English`), not a code.

06Errors & credits

Every error has success: false, a real HTTP status and costs no credits.

400missing_parameter
A required parameter is missing or invalid.
403private_account
The account is private or age-restricted.
404not_found
No such account.
503upstream_error
The platform did not answer; retry shortly.
