Channel Live Status

GET/v1/youtube/channel/live1 credit

Tells whether a YouTube channel is live right now and, if it is, which stream, since when and how many people are watching.

01Query parameters

Common to every endpoint

Any route can answer these: a missing or wrong key, no credits left, the platform not answering, or a failure on our side. None of them costs credits.

04Notes

Our own endpoint (ScrapeCreators has no YouTube equivalent), with the same answer on every platform: `platform`, `is_live`, `live_id` (the video id), `title`, `started_at` (ISO-8601 UTC), `viewer_count` (people watching now), `url` (the watch URL) and `owner` (`id` = channel id, `username` = handle without `@`, `display_name`). The broadcast is the one YouTube's own `/live` page for the channel shows, so with several streams at once you get that one. A channel that is not live costs 1 credit too and returns `is_live: false` with `owner` filled and every stream field null. Scheduled streams and premieres that have not started count as not live. An unknown channel answers 404, free; a value that cannot be a channel is a free 400.

05Errors & credits

Every error has success: false, a real HTTP status and costs no credits.

400missing_parameter
A required parameter is missing or invalid.
403private_account
The account is private or age-restricted.
404not_found
No such account.
503upstream_error
The platform did not answer; retry shortly.
