Subreddit Details

GET/v1/reddit/subreddit/details1 credit

Returns a subreddit's public details: id, name, description, banner and icon, and its weekly active users and weekly contributions.

01Query parameters

subredditoptional	string	The subreddit's name, e.g. `AskReddit` (case-sensitive). One of `subreddit` or `url` is required.
urloptional	string	The subreddit's URL, e.g. `https://www.reddit.com/r/AskReddit/`. One of `subreddit` or `url` is required.
cache_max_ageoptional	string	Accepted for compatibility; every call is fetched fresh and costs the normal price. Any other value is a free 400.Accepted values:`1d3d7d14d30d`

Any route can answer these: a missing or wrong key, no credits left, the platform not answering, or a failure on our side. None of them costs credits.

04Notes

`rules`, `created_at`, `advertiser_category`, `submit_text` and `subscribers` are always null. An unknown subreddit is a free 404 (`Subreddit not found`).

05Errors & credits

Every error has success: false, a real HTTP status and costs no credits.

400missing_parameter
A required parameter is missing or invalid.
403private_account
The account is private or age-restricted.
404not_found
No such account.
503upstream_error
The platform did not answer; retry shortly.
